Founded in 2023, Piq Energy Corp is a U.S.-based energy tech startup headquartered in San Francisco, California. Co-founded by Thomas “Tom” Nudell, PhD (CEO) and Dionysios Stamatiadis (Chief Engineer), the company offers a software platform that helps renewable developers and enterprise-scale project teams bring complex electrical grid impact studies in-house—the platform automates site evaluation, interconnection feasibility, and scenario modeling that used to take months. Clients use Piq to identify optimal interconnection points, optimize project sizing, and reduce reinforcement costs by running hundreds of grid scenarios quickly. With a small team of around 10–50 employees, Piq Energy empowers customers to make faster, data-driven grid planning decisions, especially for solar, storage, and large‑load projects like data centers.
