Founded in 2009, the Minnesota Solar Energy Industries Association (MnSEIA) is a nonprofit trade organization dedicated to advancing solar and energy storage industries across Minnesota. Based in St. Paul, MnSEIA represents over 160 member companies, including installers, developers, manufacturers, utilities, legal experts, and nonprofits. The organization advocates at the state legislature and Public Utilities Commission to influence clean energy policy, streamline regulations, and support workforce growth. MnSEIA has helped shape key legislation such as the solar energy standard, community solar programs, and Value of Solar tariffs. It also hosts educational events and fosters industry collaboration through working groups and conferences.
