Founded in 2023, Illuminate USA is a joint venture between U.S.-based Invenergy and Chinese manufacturer LONGi. Operating a cutting-edge 1.1 million-square-foot factory in Pataskala, Ohio, the company began commercial operations in February 2024. With an investment exceeding $600 million, it launched advanced manufacturing of high-efficiency bifacial solar panels. Within its first year, Illuminate USA produced over 2 GW of power, built local workforce to 1,000+ employees, and manufactured over a million panels in under six months.At full capacity by late 2024, the plant is set to produce 5 GW annually—enough to power around one million U.S. homes..
