Founded in 1971, Dura‑Line began in Middlesboro, Kentucky, manufacturing water and gas conduit products and quickly expanded into telecom infrastructure by pioneering fiber optic subduct technology in 1981. Over the decades, the company has grown into a leading global provider of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) conduit and MicroDuct systems for telecommunications, power distribution, enterprise networking, and utility markets. Dura‑Line’s products are designed to enable fast, safe installation of fiber optic and power cables across a wide range of applications. Now part of Orbia (since 2014), Dura‑Line operates a network of 17–21 manufacturing facilities worldwide, employs around 1,700–2,000 people, and delivers over 500 million meters of conduit annually across more than 50 countries. Its innovations, including SuperSILICORE, FuturePath bundled MicroDucts, and locatable or fire‑retardant conduit variants, have helped it maintain industry leadership. The company holds ISO‑9001 and TL‑9000 certifications, underscoring its commitment to quality and telecom standards.
