Founded in 2016, the Alliance for Tribal Clean Energy is an Indigenous-led nonprofit organization focused on empowering Native American and Alaska Native communities through clean energy development. Its mission is to support energy sovereignty by providing no-cost capacity building and technical assistance. The organization operates through four key service pillars: project finance and technical support, policy and government relations, education and workforce development, and information sharing through events and resources. By connecting tribes with funding, training, and trusted energy partners, the Alliance helps tribal nations advance renewable energy projects that promote sustainability, economic growth, and long-term self-determination.
