Founded on July 1, 1997, TAF Indústria de Plásticos was created with the privatization of Brazilian electric utilities and aimed at offering the market solutions in the area of ​​electric energy measurement and distribution. Today, TAF has approved products throughout BRAZIL and in several countries in SOUTH AMERICA. TAF is present in energy measurement in SOUTH AMERICA. TAF was founded on July 1, 1997 and began its activities on November 3, 1998, after the completion of the construction of its own headquarters and the acquisition of machinery and tools. Initially, its corporate name was Metalúrgica TAF Ltda. After July 1, 2001, it was renamed TAF Indústria de Plásticos Ltda. This change is due to the separation of the production of plastic and metal products, which began to be manufactured by KOCH Indústria de Caixas Metálicas, a company in the group of companies managed by the Ferreira de Carvalho family.
