Founded in 2017, PowerField Energy Inc. is a U.S.-based solar technology company headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia. It was founded by former executives from AES Solar and SunEdison who envisioned a radically simplified solar racking solution. Their signature product, the PowerRack, is a lightweight, injection-molded high-density polyethylene system that assembles without tools or ground penetration. Installers simply fill each tub with local aggregate—sand, gravel, or soil—to ballast the panels. This allows fast, flexible deployment, especially suited to brownfields, uneven terrain, temporary sites, and landfills, and enables easy decommissioning or relocation.
