Founded in 2006, Vikram Solar US Inc is a major player in the solar energy industry, specializing in the manufacturing of photovoltaic (PV) modules and providing comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions. Based in Kolkata, India, and with significant operations in the U.S., Vikram Solar has a production capacity of 3.5 GW for solar modules. The company is involved in a $1.5 billion investment project through a joint venture, VSK Energy LLC, to establish vertically integrated solar manufacturing facilities in the U.S., including a 4 GW module production facility in Colorado and a planned ingot, wafer, and cell manufacturing plant in a Southern state​ .
