Nevados Engineering, Inc., founded in 2014, develops advanced solar tracking systems, including the All Terrain Tracker (ATT). These trackers are designed for installation on uneven terrain, eliminating the need for extensive land grading. This innovation reduces construction costs and environmental impact, allowing solar projects on slopes and challenging topographies. Nevados has partnered with Ampliform and Energix Renewables, supporting large-scale projects across the U.S. Their technology enhances solar energy capture and efficiency, backed by funding from the U.S. Department of Energy and the California Energy Commission​. Nevados Engineering helps solar project developers and contractors to simplify the design, installation, and operation of their solar power plants. The Nevados All Terrain Tracker (ATT) cost-effectively fits to natural flat, sloped, and rolling terrain. Our innovative mechanical drive and active controls systems allow developers to fit their solar power plants to the earth, as opposed to forcing the earth to fit to their solar power plants. By eliminating grading, we increase the available land for solar tracker developments, support in reducing construction costs, and ease installation. The Nevados ATT can handle slopes of up to 37%, and post top deflections of up to 90”. Nevados firmly believes utility scale solar power plants should be designed with integrated equipment, hardware, and software solutions that can provide real time string level data to optimize performance. As the leaders in terrain agnostic tracking solutions, Nevados has developed novel methods to overcome the limitations of available industry software, and accurately model performance on non-flat terrain.
