Organization Information : Founded in 1991, VON ARDENNE GmbH is a German high‑tech family business headquartered in Dresden, spun off from the Manfred von Ardenne Research Institute and carrying forward decades of vacuum, plasma, and electron‑beam innovation.The company designs and manufactures industrial vacuum coating systems—especially magnetron sputtering and electron beam evaporation platforms—serving thin‑film photovoltaics, architectural glass, metal strip, and web coating markets.Its flagship systems include the PIA|nova and the high‑throughput GIGA|nova SCX/DCX lines targeting TOPCon, HJT, IBC, and perovskite tandem solar cell production at gigawatt scale.Today, over 550 of its coating systems operate in more than 50 countries, supported by subsidiaries in Europe, Asia, and North America.
