Organization Information : Founded in 2014, New Sun Road P.B.C. is a California-based public benefit corporation dedicated to expanding clean energy access to underserved and remote communities around the globe. Guided by a mission of sustainability and economic development, it offers the Stellar Microgrid OS platform—an AI‑powered, hardware-agnostic system for managing solar + storage power systems. Through IoT-based Stellar Edge controllers, the platform delivers fleet-wide remote monitoring, predictive maintenance, and operational insights. With over 900 microgrid deployments in more than 20 countries, the company raised approximately $4–6 million in Series A funding in mid‑2023 from investors including Nelnet, Skyview Ventures, and Microsoft Climate Innovation Fund.

Our first projects were in Africa where we deployed microgrids, testing our IoT devices, connectivity and software.
