Organization Information : Founded in 2019, BASF Stationary Energy Storage GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of BASF SE dedicated to delivering advanced long-duration stationary energy storage solutions. The company exclusively distributes NAS® (sodium–sulfur) batteries—developed in partnership with NGK Insulators—and has deployed over 5 GWh across 250+ global sites. Its flagship products, including the latest NAS Model L24, offer containerized, megawatt-scale storage with six- to eighteen-hour discharge periods, underpinned by enhanced thermal management and an annual degradation rate below 1%. These systems support grid services, renewable integration, microgrids, and green hydrogen projects by providing stable, safe, and efficient energy buffering, supported by a decade-long performance guarantee and comprehensive turnkey services.

Other Information: With NAS® batteries, we contribute to the energy transition by meeting our customers’ need for stable, safe, and efficient power through storage. We are the exclusive distributor of NAS® batteries, which are manufactured by our partner, NGK Insulators Ltd., Japan. Our team supports you in customizing energy storage solutions for individual use cases. We can estimate your energy storage needs and carry out an initial cost-benefit analysis to find the optimal dimensions for your battery system, as well as deliver a technical layout and system configuration.
