Organization Information : Founded in 1848, the Austrian Chamber of Commerce represents the interests of businesses across Austria. It serves as a vital platform for trade, industry, and service providers, offering comprehensive support to over 500,000 member companies. The Chamber promotes Austrian products both domestically and internationally, fostering innovation and competitiveness. It provides market insights, business matchmaking, export services, and legal advice tailored to product-based enterprises. By facilitating access to global markets, it strengthens the visibility of high-quality Austrian goods worldwide. The organization also champions product standards, sustainability initiatives, and digital transformation to ensure Austrian businesses remain future-ready and globally competitive.

Other Information: The Austrian Chamber of Commerce (AustroCham) was established on the 5th of December 2003 and was officially inaugurated by the then Austrian Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Benita Ferrero-Waldner. In 2005, the organization merged with the Hong Kong Austrian Association, which had been established in 1990. On the 4th of August 2020, the Companies Registry officially changed our name to the Austrian Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong & Macau giving us the opportunity to extend our coverage to Macau. In March 2004 our AustroCham logo, courtesy of the famous Austrian brand designer, Mr. Henry Steiner, was launched in a ceremony attended by Dr. Martin Bartenstein (then Austrian Minister of Economy and Labour) and Mr. John Tsang (then Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology of the Hong Kong SAR Government). AustroCham serves as a networking platform for the Austrian community and its interests in Hong Kong & Macau and, in particular, to create, advance and promote relations among Austria, Hong Kong & Macau.
