Organization Information : Founded in 1968, with the aim of supplying the parent company with porcelain used in shuttles for the textile industry, Porcelanas Ind. Germer S/A, located in Timbó – SC – Brazil, manufactures and sells electrical insulators for the most diverse applications in the energy distribution and domestic industrial line market. In the same year, more important steps were taken, when the company made substantial investments, acquiring the industrial park of Cia. Cerâmica Brasileira located in Rio de Janeiro, considered the first company to manufacture porcelain insulators in Brazil, thus changing its corporate name to “Porcelanas Industriais Germer S/A”. Its consolidation in the market was achieved over years of work, through the modernization of processes, directed production lines, workforce training, selection of raw materials and definitive stabilization of the formula of masses and varnishes, allowing the production of electro porcelain and refractory insulators within the technical specifications required by customers, in accordance with national and international technical standards.
